What happend to the Gold the three wise men gave to Jesus?

Did Mary and Joseph put it in a trust fund for when Jesus turned 18 or did they spend it on a good meal?

Mary and Joseph blew it on the craps table.

It would have been used as part of the offertory gift for firstborn sons which required gold, frankincense, myrrh, and two pigeons.

They were probably given gold necklaces or things that were not tangible… I don’t think the wise man gave him gold coins and while… mary could not afford to pay for the inn to give birth to Jesus so I dont think they had very much. Jesus was born to a poor god fearing family.

we know that it is said that he was the son of a carpenter but that he became a rabbi. I think that in the jewish system rabbis were taken from the upper class so the gold must have advanced the family socially. I expect that it put the family into a more favorable position than they had been and therefore launched the career of Jesus auspiciously. Many say that Jesus went to the far east for his education and there learned the eastern mysteries which were the foundation of his teachings.

I also know that the Buddha left a life of wealth to conduct his ministry also. At the same time, travel is expensive and Jesus travelled with 12 others all over the country and hosted huge gatherings so there had to have been money in the background to pay for his expenses.

Well, shortly after that, Mary and Joseph had to flee to Egypt, so I expect they spent it on supplies and buying a donkey, etc.

I imagined they used it to pay for living expenses. Have you ever known people with a new baby that didn’t need money?
