That’s because whoever mounted the attack did it in a very clumsy and obvious way – a mass onslaught around midnight – not exactly subtle. So the enxt morning it was all over the tube. The way to fight back was surely to have everyone support one another, and the result has been pretty impressive IMHO.

I think that is a lot of respect in the atheist/agnostic community to jeopardize. The reason they have become more popular is because everyone grouped together after the attacks and everyone subscribed to YouTubers they have never even heard of before. I think you are being a bit too conspiratorial, but of course I am an atheist and I will group with other atheists. Lets face it we are all bias in some way, shape or form!
