Multimedia Projectors – Mounting

Ok, so your screen is in place, your universal spider mount is in position and the projectors vertical off-set factored in, then you are ready to attach your mount to the ceiling. I recommend using anchor bolts or galvanized screws. It’s not the weight of the projector that really matters (since they are fairly light now) but the mounting, maintenance, and adjusting can stress the bolts over time. Trust me, you spent thousands on your home theater and its worth knowing that the extra 3 dollars you spent on bolts will help you sleep well. Now it’s time to mount the projector, with your friend go ahead and put it up into position, bolt it down (pretty loose right now) and plug the cables up. Once that’s done you’ll want to turn the projector on and make sure the image is squared with the screen. As long as you minded double checked your measurements and followed the manufacturers distance recommendations you should be fine. If things are a bit off don’t worry, loosen the mount arms a bit and nudge the image into position. If you need a little extra shift to the left or right you may have turn the arms around 180 degrees.
