Advantages of a 383 stroker
Looking for more power out of your Chevy 350 block? Well you don’t really have to try anything crazy, you can simply replace the camshaft with an altered version.
You want to get one that has a longer stroke to it, and when that happens, you end up forcing more air and also gas into the cylinder. That creates more displacement and turns a 350 engine into a 383 stroker.
It’s not exactly easy to do, but you can get a much more powerful engine without having to go up in engine block size, and can pack more punch into the same space.
